Kintsugi means ‘golden joinery’. It refers to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted with powdered gold. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object rather than something to disguise.

No one is too damaged for God….. He wants you to know that those breakages – he can use that to make something beautiful and He can transform you and give you a new life, and you can live life with purpose again

“yet you Lord are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter. We are all the work of your hand.”

Isaiah 64:8
